Delaware County Step Ahead Council provided $32,000 for
this resource van and its special lettering.
Step Ahead Quality Resource Van, the first of its kind in the state of Indiana,
travels the county filled with 1,400 training and teaching materials,
appropriate to the early childhood professional, such as:
in-service training videos for
directors
children's books
curriculum books
teaching material/books on a variety of topics
Since its 1998 debut, Dee Naylor, Child Care Training Specialist/Educator with the resource van, has routinely visited
licensed family child care homes
registered church ministries
licensed day care centers
child care providers in charge of five or fewer children.
The van program also provides workshops and an early childhood education college course for credit.
